DressCamp S/S 2011

DressCamp Spring/Summer 2011

The DressCamp Spring/Summer 2011 Collection present at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Tokyo for Women and Men does not disappoint.  The flower-print dresses, skirts, blouses and jackets for women are a lovely combination against white pants and blouses–and, the clothing feels very useful.  Perfect looks for brunch or for a shopping trip.  The clothing is shiny from the silk used in the collection.  Overall, the looks are loose-fitting and flow with movement as the models walk down the runway.  The cuts are feminine and the details are frilly and nice, and this clothing looks comfortable.

The Men’s pieces in the collection combined shorts and loafers–mostly with a matching, print jacket.  The looks were cool, and I especially liked the navy blue shorts/jacket combination.

Despite the number of pants/blouse combinations of silk and sheer in the collection, the dresses stole the show.  A silk/sequin, patterned cocktail dress in white was the first hint.  The long, sand-colored silk dress was the next whisper.  And, then the black, cocktail dresses with the gold accents rolled in.  Some had the the gold accents added to the dresses, and others had the gold accents as part of the print.  Regardless, these dresses, with the addition of a black/gold jumper with a cropped jacket, were really wonderful.
