DressCamp F/W 2010-2011

DressCamp Fall/Winter 2010 – 2011 Collection

I am a big fan of DressCamp (if you couldn’t tell), and this is another excellent collection from them.  The DressCamp 2010 – 2011 Fall/Winter collection was shown at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Tokyo and contains clothing designed for both Women and Men.

This collection is about texture.  The set and mood of this show is dark–dark walls, black floor, and a reflective runway–a perfect way to highlight the textures and patterns in the collection.  There are hints of leopard print (patches of the print on leggings) matched with black pants, or a under a black dress.

The Men’s clothing included very sharp, polished leather shoes, a handful of scarfs, solid color tops, pants and jackets.  The pants were skinny-leg in cut, and had a sheen to them.

DressCamp clothing always has fantastic details, and this collection does, too.  The women wore black gloves–some to the wrist, and others up to the elbow.  The buttons on the full-length, pea coat for men are bright gold and were more accents than functionality.  And, if you watch for it, there are twin heart breast pockets sewn on one of the blouses for women.

About DressCamp

Toshikazu Iwaya, the founder of DressCamp, graduated from the Bunka Fashion College in Japan in 1995 and joined At One’s, Inc. shortly after in 1996. In 2002, he started the DressCamp label, and by 2005, Iwaya opened the first clothing store.

Over time, DressCamp has earned the reputation for creating glamorous and sexy fashions, and has stores all over Japan, and has expanded to Hong Kong, Taipei and the British Virgin Islands.
