Audra Spring/Summer 2014 Collection for Women at Paris Fashion Week

Two sisters start the collection—twins.  One wears a long, white t-shirt dress, and the other wears a shorter t-shirt dress.  Long sleeves, and wide collars buttoned all the way to the top.

Each outfit has a space-aged feel.  Though the fabrics change from white to creams, the lack of color contrast in each design feels sanitized and clean.  The shoes are silver, sometimes shiny—and, are the only accents in most of the outfits.

Each look combines some level of sheer with solid color fabric.  Long skirts, with a plain, tunic-type blouse.  A flowing, sheer top with loose-fitting pants.  A sheer bustier, with a sheer over-shirt matched with form-fitting pants.  Each piece in the collection is both interesting and beautiful.

Later in the show, the color palette expanded to include a sea-foam/aqua color, though each designs continued to mix form fitted elements with a loose, overlay of material in other elements.  Regardless of the configuration, the designs are feminine and the lines are elegant—as if they belong on a regal spaceship—not just any old working one.

Towards the end of the collection, the colors and elements become more dramatic.  There is gold on the shoes.  Then, there are stripes of a deep, red-rust color.  Then a design made completely of red.  And, a rich, green, blue color top paired with a form-fitting pants of gold and sheer and white and space-age construction.

Overall, the clothing is beautiful and futuristic, and this is a phenomenal opening collection for the debut collection of Audra’s namesake brand.
